A decade of work on products where the problems are genuinely hard and the stakes are real — health records, financial inclusion, urban transport. Not toy projects.
The work starts with research. Spending enough time with real users tends to surface the right answer. The skill is in asking the right questions, spotting the pattern, and having the nerve to simplify.
Experienced working solo as the only designer, embedded in cross-functional teams, and everything in between. Based in Berlin, open to the right opportunity — full-time or freelance.
User interviews, diary studies, watching people use the thing. No sketching until there's a clear picture of what's actually going wrong.
Storyboards and rough wireframes before anything polished. Team alignment before anyone falls in love with pixels.
Prototypes close enough to real to surface honest reactions. Then iterate until it actually works.
Close collaboration with engineers through build. A design that doesn't survive implementation wasn't finished.
Open to full-time roles and the occasional freelance project. Berlin-based, remote-friendly. Usually back within a day or two.
